¿How to arrive to Christ the Redeemer Station?

There are several ways to arrive to the station that will take you to the top of Christ the Redeemer from several points of the city, bus, subway or car. We will tell you how to arrive from one of our facilities that are located in the most recognized areas of Rio de Janeiro.

Bus

You can take line 583 from Copacabana or Ipanema and hop off at Cosme Velho Street 513, where the Train station will be to get to the Christ or some vans that are also available to do the circuit.

Subway

If you are one of those that likes to walk a bit more, you can walk to the closest subway station, which could be in either El Misti Ipanema, Rio or House, going towards the Largo do Marchado station, that will take you around 30 minutes walking to get to the Train station of Corcovado.

App

You can use an app like Uber or taxi that will take you privately to the station from your hostel, which if you are staying in one of our facilities, it won’t cost you more than $40R.

Van or train to get to the Christ?

There’s two options that are the most common to get to the top of Christ the Redeemer and that’s the Train or a shuttle, that leave from Cosme Velho St. They both cost almost the same, just that they take different paths to arrive to the highest part.

The van will take you usually passing by 2 lookout points where you can stay a couple minutes contemplating the Marvellous City, it’s path finishes arriving to Christ the Redeemer it the cost is 30R, arriving, you will have to pay the entrance, that costs another $32R approx. *The prices vary from high to low season.

You can take the train directly from the station on the same steet, the whole trip along with the entrance to the Christ sells from $65R, taking this option you can roam inside the train, part of the National Park where the statue is located. * The prices vary depending on high or low season.

* Take enough water to stay hydrated, that be visiting the city in summer or winter, it’s always important to stay well hydrated.
