Terms and Conditions

Accommodation Payment:

The remaining balance to complete 100% of the reservation value will be charged upon arrival. For non-refundable rate reservations, 100% of the value will be charged at the time of booking. Please note that all reservations will be charged in Brazilian Reais (local currency). The exchange rate of the day will be applied if any currency exchange is necessary.

Overbookings:

For confirmed reservations with a 50% deposit or more, rooms and beds will be held for the guest until the check-in time. If a guest arrives precisely at or after the check-in time, their entry will be accepted, but under overbooking circumstances. If the guest arrives and their room is occupied due to an overbooking, the guest will be entitled to a refund of the deposited amount and transportation to another establishment with similar characteristics.

Minors:

In accordance with Brazilian Federal Law 8.069/1990, minors under 18 years old cannot check into hostels unless accompanied by their parents or an official guardian. If the minor is accompanied by an adult who is not one of the parents, a written authorization must be presented for the minor to check into the hotel. This authorization must be notarized, signed by both parents, and presented along with authenticated copies of the parents’ identification documents. Minors under 18 years old are only accepted in private rooms.

Improvements:

In our continuous effort to improve our facilities and satisfy our guests, El Misti Hostels conducts renovations during some low season periods. We do our best to ensure that our guests are not affected by renovations and works within the hostels.

Terms and Conditions for Booking Request Approval:

Welcome to El Misti Hostel! To ensure a pleasant and safe experience for all our guests, we ask that you read and agree to the following terms and conditions:

Minimum Age: The minimum age for staying in shared rooms is 18 years.
Appropriate Behavior: We request that all guests maintain respectful behavior towards roommates and staff. Any form of disruptive or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.
Quiet Hours: Between 10 PM and 8 AM, we ask that all guests respect the quiet hours in the dormitories to ensure everyone can rest.
Drugs and Alcohol: The use of illegal drugs on our premises is strictly prohibited. Excessive alcohol consumption that causes disturbance will not be tolerated.
Guests: Guests cannot have external visitors in the rooms. Meetings can be held in common areas.
Hygiene:Keeping common areas clean and organized is essential for everyone’s well-being. We request that guests keep their beds and belongings organized.
Respect for Privacy: Respect your roommates’ privacy by avoiding tampering with their belongings or invading personal spaces.
Check-in and Check-out: Check-in can be done from 1 PM and check-out by 11 AM. Different times must be agreed upon with the reception.

Failure to comply with the check-out time may result in a fine, and the staff is authorized to remove the guest’s belongings from the accommodation.

Cancellations and Refunds: Check our cancellation and refund policy when making your reservation.
Responsibility for Belongings: The hostel is not responsible for personal belongings.

It is the guest’s responsibility to take care of the access key card given at check-in. Losing it will result in a R$50 charge.

The loss or damage of borrowed or rented items will incur a R$100 charge.

Food and Drinks: Consume food and drinks only in designated areas. Keep the shared kitchen clean and organize your food.
Security: For your safety and that of others, wearing the identification wristband given at check-in is mandatory within the Hostel premises.

Lock the room doors and lockers when leaving. In case of emergency, follow the staff’s instructions.
